In October I will have the pleasure of coming to speak to you about the agile horde, which I had started to mention here and which has clearly appealed to the Agile Tour events to which I sent my application since they invited me, all three of them, to offer you this personal reflection as a keynote (opening plenary session).

Know that I am touched, flattered and stressed about this.

Pitch

What makes man, man? Let’s observe our ancestors who roamed the savanna. We had neither sharp teeth, nor prominent muscles, much less a rough shell. And yet we emerged and eventually dominated the world. Why? because we had this culture of adaptation in complex environments.

With Descartes and the Enlightenment we somewhat forgot this. We have a Cartesian answer to every question. And we think the world works this way. But this is no longer the case: interdependence, total connectivity, immediacy, simultaneity, globalization, the world is once again unpredictable.

Today what can our old horde teach us?

Agile tour

So I look forward to seeing you to discuss all day at:

I did not apply to the North.

Scierie à pratiques

I will also have the pleasure of co-facilitating with the irresistible Stéphane Langlois two sessions of Scierie à pratiques in Marseille & Toulouse (and perhaps a hack in Montpellier but shhhhh). I also believe that the scierie will manage to play a role at Agile Tour Rennes, but unfortunately I won’t be there.
