In a few dozen days, on May 27th to be exact, in Nîmes, I will have the pleasure of doing a session about agility at the first Sudweb, 2011 therefore. There are 24 hours left to buy tickets!

First, I want to salute the effort made by this group of adventurers: triggering this type of event, with this standard (venue, video, catering, foreign speakers), in our region… Bravo, hats off!
As for me, I have to represent the Gard quota. heh heh.
At first I wondered, I’m the only methodology-focused session, and moreover: agile. Naturally there are plenty of very good reasons for the web to embrace this methodology, so not too much worry despite everything. Furthermore, I perceive a design in the programming (yes, yes): purchasing (web services), methodology (agile), tooling (cloud), politics/values (web & humanitarian)… Then more technical aspects. But nevertheless it seems to me that we’re taking a step back, that we’re trying to approach subjects in a more global way, more rich.
All the better, my session will aim to present a return of experience within a large publisher (that I will not name, too many bureaucratic and legal constraints). 9 months on the clock in the deployment of agility with these people, people? if I dared I would say buddies now (a whole floor says “kisses” to me as a joke sometimes when I come back to the south, damn). Beyond this return of experience -common thread-, it will be above all about deciding the decision-makers to decide (I have a copyright on this clunky phrase). I will almost not (or not at all if possible) get into the questions: what is scrum, xp, kanban? In my opinion, it’s a given. And besides, if it’s not, this knowledge is not mandatory to understand my point, and it can easily be found on… the web.
So, hoping to see you at Sudweb.
The first slide of the session during which (in terms of presentation) I’m going to try to reconcile my literary/cinematographic studies with my job today… (I think it’s too late for them to cancel my session ha ha!): (remember to review Monty Python tonight on Arte !)

Ps: This is a NO WIFI conference! with humans inside! Don’t bring or turn off your phones, it would be too stupid to miss the opportunity to talk with real people.
