To organize is to decide on the social fabric we want for the future. To organize is to deal as much with culture as with practice, and to define our very nature. How to design new organizations, more functional, more fulfilling, more respectful and more effective for those who want them? The book you hold in your hands has two audiences. First, leaders, entrepreneurs, coaches, managers, etc., because one of the objectives of this book is to deliver principles, ways of doing things, ways of organizing to evolve with elegance and frugality in today’s complex and complicated world, or better yet, in tomorrow’s probably transformed world. The second audience is my children Sarah, Mathieu, Arthur, and I’ll add Sibylle, my partner’s daughter. Today the news from scientists is increasingly alarming, what was predicted for 2100 is announced for 2050. How will my children face the future? This questions me. How can I help them? I’m hurrying here to consolidate the knowledge I have on organization in a complex, uncertain world, theirs, tomorrow’s. And, whatever the living environment of future generations, I hope that everyone will be able to flourish and organize a life with meaning, which will ultimately make our turbulent times seem like a necessary evil.
