Monday July 8th and Tuesday July 9th, 2019 we are organizing with Olaf Lewitz two days of seminar on leadership, within the framework of the trust temenos academy that Olaf has been running for several years. I’ve been crossing paths with Olaf since 2011 through conferences, seminars, visits between friends. We appreciate each other mutually. I was able to facilitate alongside him the Open Space at the Prague Scrum Gathering in 2015 for example (600 people!). I’m confident today that he has a lot to bring to our managers, our product managers, our coaches. And I hope that together we will be able to offer strong value to our participants.
The seminar will be in English and French.
We believe that the most valuable and lasting learning happens in human interactions, not in the time you spend sitting and listening to us. We aim rather to maximize the depth and breadth of experience and to provide mental models to make sense of what you discover.
"This course allows you to combine the agile ethic - respect for people, dynamic and diverse teams, rapid learning - with an enlightened and broader vision of leadership frameworks. It provides the right weaving of these frameworks without being pedantic at all."
(Scott Downs, London)

- I want to be challenged and discover what kind of leader I am.
- What does leadership mean to me?
- What kind of leadership will help me achieve what I want?
This course aims to create a container for diversity and, in a way, ambiguity. How do you want to improve? “Agile” is the stance and journey of conscious improvement as Olaf expresses it. In this spirit, we believe that agile leadership is the conscious improvement of our way of leading and following. A clarity of intention, an ability to develop the systems in which we work and the people who compose them, to meet everyone’s needs and to realize our individual and collective potential.
"I learned what leadership really means."
This seminar invites you to kick-start your personal journey. A change in your organization but also a personal change.

You will leave with
- Begin your journey to your next level of leadership
- More clarity on who you are and what you want
- Better knowledge of how to manage contexts and establish relationships.
- Clearly focus on a growing challenge for the next six months, with a clear idea of the progress made.
- A set of principles that apply to your life, your team and your organization
- Experience the effects of a trust container, bringing people to bring their vulnerability and diversity to create a force for change.
- Know what it feels like when you co-lead as WE
- A long list of inspirations and recommendations :-)
- New friends!
What to expect?
Growing as a person, growing in your relationships.
We minimize the time you spend sitting and listening to us. We maximize the depth and breadth of experience and provide mental models to make sense of what you discover.
We might ask you to take the lead on a training topic. We intend to challenge each other in the course, regardless of the time you have spent in the Agile context. We want to create the content with all of you. It is an art to know when to lead and when to follow. We will try to have a graceful movement between roles and responsibilities, the decision of what to do in which context and which situation, this will add to your experience.
On the first day, the focus will be on your personal journey. On the second day, we will apply our learnings and principles, as well as our model and other tools, to the framework of agile organizations. Be ready to be surprised and to face challenges. You can bring your comfort zone, but you may not spend much time there :-)
Who is it for?
- Senior executives, top executives, managers and leaders at all levels
- Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Agile Coaches
- Project managers and team leaders
Our participants said during other sessions with Olaf
"I think the main impact of this course is on my own integrity and internal priorities. I don't see how you can conduct yourself without first settling this issue. And, of course, you cannot lead others if you cannot lead yourself. You've seen the results of the V1 survey over the years, culture being the main obstacle, haven't you? Who is responsible for establishing culture? - leaders. So, I would say that whenever I have a problem with agile adoptions, I'm dealing with leadership. This course could be the beginning of a change for you. 'This way, it could really make a difference.'"
(Kirill Klimov, Singapore)
"Unsurprisingly, there is no official, step-by-step guide to agile leadership. There was, however, an immaculate 'safe' space created to learn a bunch of high-quality techniques, models and ways of thinking, supported by the trainer's expertise and practical experience. The learning was reinforced by the group's participation, which is both a credit to the participants and a credit to the trainers' ability to get the best out of them. TrustTemenos CAL1 is a leadership course for those who need to lead and influence; it is not a summary of agile frameworks. It would be completely impractical and detrimental to the course to try to achieve that. If you want to learn more about the specific details of an agile framework, take additional courses that are specifically designed for that purpose."
