What makes man, man? Let’s observe our ancestors who roamed the Savanna. We had neither sharp teeth, nor prominent muscles, much less a rough shell. And yet we emerged and ultimately dominated the world. Why? Because we had this culture of adaptation in complex environments. With Descartes and the Enlightenment we somewhat forgot this. We have a Cartesian answer to every question. And we think the world works that way. But this is no longer the case: interdependence, total connectivity, immediacy, simultaneity, globalization, the world is once again unpredictable. Today what can our old horde teach us?

It was while preparing the keynotes for the agile tours 2013 in Marseille, Toulouse, Montpellier and Clermont-Ferrand, that I started writing this text because this is how I best formalized – it seems to me – the thread of my thought.
